Dear Church Family,

How wonderful it is to share faith and life.  We who preach and teach receive God's profoundest inspiration from you. The pictorial Members & Friends directory reflects the truth that no believer stands alone.  We are a "Covenant Community", pledging our commitment to God and to each other.  Use this beautiful presentation as a tool for prayer, for caring contact and for celebrating the unique gifts of every sister and brother in our church family.  Jesus taught us that every person is precious and that by our love will the world know that we are his disciples.

Pastors

Dr. Carlos Piar is an ordained Minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He currently holds a position at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) as Professor of Religious Studies and has served as Chair of the Department of Religious Studies.  He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California (USC) in Religion/Social Ethics

Dr. Joyce Smith is a graduate of the American Baptist Seminary of the West and has a Doctor of Ministry from Azusa Pacific's Haggard School of Theology. She has served churches and hospitals in Downey, Long Beach, Orange and Costa Mesa during her 20 plus years of ministry. She is currently engaged in ministry as a hospice chaplain and is an advocate of the compassionate and joyful spiritual life.
